India Reports 70 New Coronavirus Cases and 466 Active Cases
India witnessed a single-day rise of 70 new coronavirus infections, while the active cases stood at 466, according to data updated by the Union Health Ministry on Saturday. The death toll from COVID-19 in the country reached 5,32,031, as per the data updated at 8 am. The country’s COVID-19 case tally rose to 4,49,98,463.
Furthermore, the number of people who have recovered from the disease has increased to 4,44,65,966, resulting in a national recovery rate of 98.81 percent, according to the health ministry’s website. The case fatality rate remains at 1.18 percent.
In terms of vaccination, the ministry’s website reports that 220.67 crore doses of the coronavirus vaccine have been administered in the country so far.
