New mum credits cannabis oil for curing post-natal depression

A woman has claimed to have found a cure for her post-natal depression through the use of cannabis oil. Natasha Doran, a 33-year-old mother, began experiencing mental health issues after giving birth to her son in May 2019. Despite trying therapy and medication, she found no relief from her extreme daily panic attacks.

Natasha sought help from her GP, attended online therapy sessions, and started taking anti-depressants. However, these interventions only made her feel worse. By June 2020, her condition had worsened to the point where she struggled to leave the house and suffered from severe insomnia.

It was at this point that a friend recommended CBD oil to Natasha. She decided to give it a try and ordered a 10ml bottle online for £60. Cannabidiol (CBD) is a chemical substance found in cannabis that is believed to have medical benefits. Natasha started taking 75ml of CBD oil per day, placing a drop under her tongue. She soon noticed a significant improvement in her anxiety and depression. Just six months after starting the CBD treatment, she was back at the gym, sleeping normally, and had completely stopped experiencing panic attacks.

The positive impact of CBD oil on her mental health inspired Natasha to start her own company called Hemp-Aid in November 2022. She left her previous job in a nursery to focus on the new venture. Natasha spoke about her experience, saying, “I couldn’t sleep and I never wanted to leave the house. Sometimes it felt like there was no hope. I was skeptical at first, but I did my research first. My family was hesitant at first. After a few months trying CBD, I had my drive back.”

Natasha’s fight against post-natal depression started after a traumatic labor and a difficult recovery from a cesarean section. These early difficulties contributed to her sinking into a deep depression once she returned home with her newborn son. Concerned about her own well-being and her son’s social development, Natasha began searching for alternative treatments after conventional methods failed her.

She confided in her partner, who encouraged her to try CBD oil. The results were almost instantaneous. Natasha experienced a sense of relaxation and calmness, as well as improved control over her heart rate and thoughts. She also stopped drinking alcohol, which aided in her battle against depression. Natasha felt healthier and more fit, and she began conducting extensive research on how to improve her life.

Today, Natasha continues to use CBD oil daily and has turned her positive experience into a business venture. Despite the lack of verified medical benefits attributed to cannabis-based products like CBD oil, and the NHS warning that not all such products are of good quality, Natasha believes in the powerful health advantages she has personally experienced. Her goal now is to help others by sharing her story and running her own CBD oil company.

Natasha’s journey serves as a unique example of how alternative therapies can have a significant and positive impact on mental health. While her success story may not be applicable to everyone, it does shed a light on the potential benefits that CBD oil could have for individuals struggling with post-natal depression and other mental health conditions.
