Ashish Sachdeva, a businessman from Rewari, Haryana, once weighed almost 140 kilos. Being technically obese, he faced many challenges, including finding clothes his size and dealing with health issues such as hypertension, joint pains, and memory loss. However, his life took a positive turn when he connected with spirituality through the Art of Living.

His daily meals consisted of a healthy balance of proteins, fruits, vegetables, and whole grains. He included items like egg whites, oats, salads, curd, multigrain rotis, and vegetables in his diet. Sachdeva also incorporated low-calorie dishes into his routine, such as air-fried kofta, oats idli, vegetable khichdi, and Indian pancakes made with sprouted whole moong or dals.

In terms of exercise, Sachdeva followed a routine that included 3-4 days of strength training, 1-2 days of cardiovascular workouts like cycling and running, and 1 day for stretching and yoga. He also emphasized the importance of active recovery and gave his body the rest and recovery it needed.

To stay motivated, Sachdeva found inspiration in his spiritual connection and maintained a positive attitude towards life. He believed that everything is achievable with a strong determination and focused on learning from the positive aspects of people around him. Setting SMART goals and maintaining a disciplined attitude also helped him stay focused on his weight loss journey.

Ashish Sachdeva’s story is a testament to the transformative power of spirituality and a disciplined lifestyle. Through his commitment to change, he successfully lost 60.9 kilos over a span of 2.5 years.
