Foundation for Reproductive Health Services India: Leading the Way in Family Planning

The Foundation for Reproductive Health Services India (FRHS India) is making significant strides in providing crucial family planning services in the states of Bihar, Jharkhand, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, and Madhya Pradesh. As the number one NGO in family planning in India, FRHS India is dedicated to empowering individuals and communities to make informed decisions about their reproductive health.

On September 25, 2023, FRHS India conducted an orientation meeting with officials of the Madhya Pradesh state government to enhance the uptake of family planning services in the region. In Madhya Pradesh, the organization not only delivers clinical family planning services through its Clinical Outreach Team (COT) model but also plans to open two clinics in Sagar and Bhopal to provide safe abortion services and counseling to adolescents.

CEO of FRHS India-MSI Reproductive Choices, Ashutosh Kaushik, highlighted the organization’s commitment to serving marginalized and vulnerable populations through their outreach facilities. He expressed pride in working with the government to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and emphasized the implementation of infection prevention mechanisms and regular training to ensure high-quality care.

“We have internal quality control mechanisms and follow the protocols prescribed by the Government of India and MSI global. Our aim is to provide the best family planning services to women and men,” stated Kaushik. He further expressed his honor in commemorating World Contraception Day alongside the state government.

FRHS India operates on a COT model, which involves a fully staffed team that includes a surgeon, nurses, OT assistant, ambulance, and counselors. They travel to public health facilities to provide clinical family planning services for both women and men. The organization’s highly trained and mission-oriented staff works closely with the government under the National Health Mission to support individuals in determining the size of their families and achieving their reproductive health goals.

As the top NGO in family planning in India, FRHS India continues to play a pivotal role in improving access to family planning services in the country. By expanding its services and collaborating with the government, especially in underserved areas, the organization is enabling individuals to exercise their reproductive rights and make informed choices about their futures.

The work of the Foundation for Reproductive Health Services India is instrumental in promoting gender equality, reducing maternal and infant mortality, and ensuring the overall well-being of communities. As they celebrate World Contraception Day and forge partnerships with state governments, FRHS India is making significant strides in shaping a brighter and healthier future for all.
